OnlyCritiques.com Review:
Loan scams are often the doing of fraudulent loan brokers. These loan brokers project a wrong picture of availability of credit to you. They offer you loan even if your credit is bad. However, they ask for some amount of fee or advance before sanctioning your loan. This is the first red flag signaling loan scams. Genuine loan providers never ask for any money before sanctioning loan amount.
You come across small advertisements of availability of easy loans in classified section of local and national newspapers, radio advertisements, through flyers in neighborhoods, on local cable stations, shopping centers, and on the Internet. Advertising in such media does not lend any credibility or authenticity to such advertisements.
Some advertisements of loan scams carry forth ‘900’ numbers or toll-free ‘800’ numbers. ‘900’ numbers incur charges on your telephone. postal authorities maintain a strict vigil over such postal transactions of loan scams. Therefore, advertisers use other courier services to avoid detection.
Most loan scams operate in a shady way. They offer to provide you a loan after receipt of your advance fee. Such advance fee could range from $100 to several hundreds and thousands of dollars. Normally, people operating such loan scams disappear soon after collecting your advance fee. They promise your loan soon but never meet or contact you thereafter.
Normally legitimate financial institutions and banks lending loans need pre-approved guarantee from you. This is just a verbal acceptance of loan and you do not pay the institutions or banks any amount. Even after acceptance of such offer, loan companies can refuse your loan.
You can recognize loan scams through their mode of operation. Asking for money beforehand, guaranteeing easy loan despite bad credit or bankruptcy are common indicators. Hence, never give away any of your personal details like credit card numbers, bank account number, social security number, and similar others to different telemarketing individuals willing to guarantee you loans. Report such loan scams immediately to Better Business Bureau and law enforcement authorities.
