Late Joe Dominguez, born on February 2, 1938 in Spanish Harlem, learned engineering from City College in New York. He worked as a financial analyst in Wall Street for ten years. After retirement in 1969, he spent all his life-training people in the techniques of spending their money in the best possible way.

After retirement, Joe worked for several noble causes. He donated in various charities and did a lot for the society. He handled his own life with a great balance between money, relationships and needs. With his seminar and book, he tried to share his theories with the public.

The legendary seminar of Joe on “Transforming Your Relationship with Money” tells about his journey from Wall Street analyst to the expert in balancing finance. He introduces people with new definitions of money management where just in nine steps one can control, evaluate and utilize the flow of money in an optimum way.

The book “Your Money or Your Life” is also about the nine-step program towards personal financial transformation. It is about earning, spending and saving money. It has helped number of people in handling their finance in a better way.

Vicki Robin, a graduated from Brown University, recognized the noble work of Joe while she was working in film and theater field at New York. She was impressed and so, applied his theories in her own life. Later she also got involved with the book “Your Money or Your Life”.

The book is not about big words and promises, but it is all about the 30 years experience of Joe and 20 of Vicki. It is not based on any theory but still introduces the theories, which these two people applied in their lives to become successful.

Joe and Vicki also initiated a volunteer Nonprofit Organization called New Road Map Foundation, which aims at promoting human as the ruler of tomorrow.

Joe Dominguez left us on January 11, 1997, but his works still help us live in an environment where the financial complications are least visible. He just wanted us to rule the money and not let money rule us.
