She is the widow and former partner of famous guru late Marc Goodfriend.

Jane Garvey is the President of the Creative Investors Association Chicago, which is a former Bob Allen Club. This association is a great source of education, motivation and networking opportunities for the Chicago real estate investors. This organization now has more than 550 members. They have diverse amount of experience ranging from beginners to longtime investors.

Being the president of this association, Jane Garvey has the responsibility of organizing classes on real estate investment. Part-timers, full-timers and wannabes – all can attend these classes.

Jane Garvey is different from other business gurus who wear sharp suits and slick down their hair. These people usually sell their products and ideas for hefty sums. Garvey is a solid, dependable woman who has done some serious work on real estate. She even gives free advice to members of the Creative Investors Association. She offers quality seminars and workshops at reasonable prices. For example, one of her recent Saturday morning workshops charged mere $40 for members and $60 for nonmembers. The response from the audience was overwhelming and many people had to sit on the floor to listen to her.

Though Jane Garvey shares her knowledge and experiences, she cautions that making money in real estate business is not as easy as many think to be. The market is crowded in some areas and many would-be investors are eyeing the same properties. Therefore, Jane Garvey says that it is hard to find deals because there are so many people out there. The competition has made it difficult to find good deals even for people who are in the business for years.
