Bill Bowen has established his company the Bill Bowen Associates that deals with products devised for home sellers, homebuyers and other people who aspire to become rich. The company works in collaboration with an outfit named Easy Mortgage Solutions.

One of the main products is a system titled “Easy Mortgage Money”. It tries to convince home sellers to target bad credit buyers. Such buyers in turn find the solution for ‘easy mortgage money’. Bill Bowen and his money-lending associates can provide this easy solution to buyers. To attract buyers, home sellers use lawn sign and classified advertisements.

Many feel that such a deal is not good for the buyer or the seller. The question is that, what exactly is Bill Bowen offering to customers who want to take up real estate business? Many real estate big fish are motivated to engage real estate agents to persuade the sellers, buy lawn signs and advertise in local papers to attract more attention. Such a business does not dwells on any real estate program but more so on recruitment drive involving a mortgage company.  Bill Bowen received a “desist and refrain’ notice in May 2004, as he does not possess a license for real estate business.

Bill Bowen’s book lends good insight on practices and principles of institutional governance. He delineates many differences as well as similarities between the governance strategies of not-for-profit and for-profit corporations. It serves a good source that can benefit both the sectors. It also lays guidelines for boards to function properly and the way in which they could protect the interests of both the stakeholders and the enterprise. The book has enough strength to form new agenda for directors and management. Bill Bowen has remarkable intellectual acuity, perceptiveness, and lucidity that make his book readable. Thus, while his company’s programs do not sound convincing his book is worth reading.
