Equinox International was a multilevel marketing company that has stopped its operation at present. While in business, it used to encourage people to buy many products up-front. This policy is termed as “Garage Qualified” in the marketing industry.

Equinox International offered distributorships for different products like filters, vitamins, nutritional supplements and various skin care products. The company officials emphasized new hires that they need to increase the distributorship and earn money primarily by that. Selling the products endorsed by Equinox International was propagated as side business for its distributors.

Distributors who joined the company’s list lost more money than making it because of the huge subscription charges. The earning made by the distributors was negligible or nil in some cases. Government lawyers further alleged that Equinox International was operating with a fraudulent intent. For past eight years, the company was selling healthcare products like toothpaste and water filters. Thousands of individuals complained about the company’s policies urging the need to shut down its operations. This was done simply because the government wanted the company to stop its activities altogether without making any further profit on someone else’s expense.

Equinox International’s officials denied the charges made by the government lawyers stating that most of the complaints were false and had nothing to do with the company’s business. They also stated that the complaints were made as a competitor’s strategy to close down their operations. The main concern of the people was that others should not be duped like they had been by the company’s so called representatives. After all the major confrontations, the company finally was dissolved and stopped its operations.
