In today’s world, more and more people are turning towards natural way to protect and cure themselves from diseases. Hence, many people worldwide are using herbal medicines.
Advantage Nutraceuticals is a company, which is involved in production and marketing of these nutirional products. Currently, the COO of this compay is Brad Riley and their CEO is Tom Nelson.
Advantage Nutraceuticals’ team consists of people having vast experience in production and marketing of natural supplements.
Advantage Nutraceuticals’ some popular products are EllagiMax, CellMax, and CoralMax, a coral calcium product.
Advantage Nutraceuticals claims that their products contain effective natural supplements, which helps in fight against arthritis, cancer, heart disease, gall and kidney stones, diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis.
Although Advantage Nutraceuticals are manufacturing products that are good for our health, but manufacturing and marketing of these nutritional products, need registration with Food and Drug Administration department of U.S.
The Food and Drug Administration in its inspection at the company’s facility in 2004 found that the labels on the products as well as on the website confirm that these products are drugs.
As Advantage Nutraceiticals is not registered with Food and Drug Administration, manufacturing and marketing of these products violates the section 201(g)(1) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the Act) [21 U .S .C. § 321(g)(1)] .
The report said that these products come under “new drugs” category under section 201(p) of the Act [21 U .S .C. § 321(p)]. Therefore, Advantage Nutraceuticals are not allowed to legally market “new drugs” in the without prior approval from the FDA.
Advantage Nutraceuticals can only manufacture and market these producsts once it gets approval from FDA confirming these products as safe and effective.
To manufacture and market its products legally, Advantage Nutraceuticals must be registered with FDA. If they do not comply with the rule then their products can be seized and it can result in an enforcement action.
