A sure shot way to sell any product or service is by creating a powerful attention grabbing advertisement. Any advertisement must have an arresting headline, an interesting content and a conclusion that compels the reader into action. Writing Headlines to garner attention for one’s product is a fine art that can be learned with patience and observation.

The objective of writing catchy headlines is to force the reader into reading the full text of the advertisement. The headline must be short, crisp and interestingly phrased. It must deliver its message in a span of a dozen words.  It must convey some utility for the user of the product being advertised. It must answer some inquiry and provide some data about the product to the end user. In this way, it will appeal to the customer who will read the full text and then call the toll-free number or buy the product.

An important fact to be kept in mind while Writing Headlines is that one must study the target group’s feelings and ambitions. This is because the person first reacts to an advertisement first through his heart and then through his head. If the advertisement appeals to him, he will go ahead and purchase the product even if he does not need it immediately. This is the power of a blistering and catchy headline.

All these necessities can be achieved only if one knows one’s focus group and has made an extensive study of their spending habits and aspirations.

The key to Writing Headlines that will generate mind –boggling sales ultimately lies in the head of the creative writer. Therefore, the writer must practice consistently until he gets that perfect headline. He must keep all the above facts in mind to create a successful advertisement of the product.
